AirConso relys on HitchHiker Technology

Since AirConso’s foundation in mid-2009, the travel agency, portal and consolidator based in Frankfurt, Germany has been relying on HitchHiker technology. The specialist for Turkish Airways uses the visualFaresEntry tool for the entry of its own negotiated tariffs. As most of these tariffs are special ethnic-tariffs, the application of HitchHiker’s sophisticated entry tool was essential.

AirConso provides published, nego and net-fares as well as web-fares for scheduled and charter airlines, which is why HitchHiker’s visualFares Entry tool is used for the entry and management of their fares. After having received in-depth, professional training, AirConso’s tariff entry team is now able to enter their own tariffs and distribute them seamlessly to various other applications in the market without any loss of time or information.

Besides HitchHiker’s visualFaresEntry tool, TeMyra.Agent is in use at the Counter and Call Center. Currently, about 300 agencies place orders with AirConso through this B2B web application. TeMyra.Agent provides available flights from all tariff sources as well as additional information such as flight time, mileage information, aircraft type, departure and arrival terminals, etc. Moreover, AirConso is able to calculate an individual service fee, which can be recalculated “on the fly” depending on the customer who is placing the order. With the support of additional applications like the TeMyra.Agent Booking Manager, TeMyra.Agent covers the entire process chain from agent query to consolidator ticketing.

Within this year, even end-consumers will be able to book flights directly with AirConso online by using HitchHiker’s TeMyra.Consumer tool. This project is currently in the final testing phase.
